Copenhagen (Part III): Mielcke & Hurtigkarl

I was lucky enough to be able to mooch into the Brewers dinner on the Friday night of our Copenhagen trip... One of the stranger places I've found myself, it was held at the restaurant Mielcke & Hurtigkarl. As always happens they forgot there would be two vegetarians at the dinner despite having let them know before hand! There were a lot of courses & everything was delicious but the best thing about the evening was seeing the room full of brewers drinking fancy wine & everyone navigating the cutlery situation. After dinner we moved over to another building where a metal band played (way too loudly), a dessert station was set up & an open bar was absolutely devastated - surprisingly the gin didn't last all that long!  We were sensible & left at about 2:30am as the festival started up again at 11am on Saturday & everyone had to work. Breakfast at the hotel the next morning was full of hungover faces and some people straggling in for food before finally making it to bed.

Beautiful. Felt slightly like being at a wedding though...
Wine. A drink I can get behind!
So much salad
This was by far the fanciest meal we had on our trip away, no falafel for us that night!
